PropSweep vs HubSpot Data Quality Command Center
HubSpot's Data Quality Command Center is a native tool for monitoring property health. PropSweep is a third-party app focused specifically on finding unused properties by fill rate. Here's how they compare.

What "unused" means โ two different definitions
This is the most important thing to understand before picking a tool. The two products use the same word for different things.
- HubSpot's Command Center defines "unused" as: the property is not referenced in any HubSpot tool โ no workflow, list, or report uses it. It answers the question, "is this property wired into any automation?"
- PropSweep defines "unused" as: zero (or near-zero) records have a value for this property. It answers, "does anyone actually have data in this field?"
- These are genuinely different questions. A property could be "used" by the Command Center's definition (it's in a list filter somewhere) but have 0% fill rate โ no record has a value. Conversely, a property could have data on 10,000 records but show as "unused" because no workflow references it.
- Both definitions are useful. The Command Center tells you about automation dependencies. PropSweep tells you about data presence. More on the difference here.
When to use which
- Use the Data Quality Command Center if: you already pay for Ops Hub Professional, you want duplicate detection and formatting issue alerts, and you primarily care about contacts and companies.
- Use PropSweep if: you're on Free, Starter, or Pro without Ops Hub; you need to audit deals, tickets, or other object types; you want to know actual fill rate; or you want a one-time audit without committing to $800/mo.
- Use both if: you have Ops Hub Pro and want the full picture โ Command Center for automation dependencies, PropSweep for fill-rate analysis across all objects.
Pricing comparison
If you already pay for Ops Hub Pro for other features (data sync, programmable automation, etc.), the Command Center comes included at no extra cost. PropSweep is for teams who don't need the full Ops Hub but do need a property audit.
Both tools have their place
If you're auditing automation dependencies and already on Ops Hub Pro, the Command Center is a strong native option. If you need actual fill-rate data across every object type โ including deals, tickets, and custom objects โ on any HubSpot plan, PropSweep is built specifically for that.
